AfricaCommsWeek since inception has been a platform for communications professionals to share practical insight on redefining the African narrative and this year’s edition further reaffirmed this mission. AfricaCommsWeek 2024 saw professionals from 8+ countries across Africa. Countries represented both online and offline include: Nigeria; Ghana; South Africa; Gabon; Niger; Cameroon; Burkina Faso, Uganda; Democratic Republic of Congo.
This year’s edition provided a platform for communication professionals to share best practices, collaborate, and build the collective influence needed to rewrite the continent’s narrative. Participants explored how influence can be leveraged to connect Africa with global partners, fostering collaboration for shared prosperity and attracting vital international partnerships. The role of artists, musicians, and influencers was highlighted (ACW Cameroon), emphasising their capacity to drive positive change, promote cultural exchange, and empower African communities. Africa’s creative industries were celebrated not only for entertainment but also for their power in shaping a more inclusive and prosperous future.
